Ochsner- "We're Open."

Ochsner Medical Center Update:

We're identifying our essential team A and team B staffing for both physician and employees and we are working with vendors to ensure adequate food, water, and fuel to run our generators if needed.  And, we are in communication with state and local leaders. 

Every one of our hospitals is activating their staffing plans and we continue to watch Gustav closely. 

Ochsner Medical Center - Jefferson Highway, Ochsner Medical Center-West Bank, and Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner will stay open and these three hospitals do not close.  Our ERs also stay open.

Hospitals and ERs are not shelters.  We hope to pre-empt any message that are communicated via the media that claim "there's no healthcare in New Orleans."  Our main campus at 1514 Jefferson Highway, NO 70121, is just 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans.
