Parish President Ernest Freyou announces that Iberia Parish Government will have sand bags available, today, July 23, 2010, until 6:00 p.m. at the Parish Barn which is located at 5013 Avery Island Road. Sand bags will also be available at the Parish Barn on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works Department at 364-8474.

Acadiana VOAD Meeting

LAFAYETTE – Given the impact of Hurricane Ike on Acadiana, the September 17th meeting of Acadiana VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster) will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Vermilion Parish Public Library located at 405 East Victor Street in Abbeville (70510).

Any volunteer organization, church or civic group that is willing to help out with disaster relief is urged to send one representative to this meeting.
