Slemco update for Vermilion Parish

Both the Pecan Island and Cow Island substations in Vermilion Parish are energized and customers that can receive power have power.  Others have repairs to make before we can provide them with power.  Should anyone in those areas not have power and have no damage, they should call our outage number at 1-888-275-3626.

SLEMCO personnel are working on both the Esther and Erath substations at the current time.  Barring any major complications, we expect these two substations and customers served by either of them to have power restored before nightfall tonight.  Customers with damage to their homes in those areas will not have power.  Those customers will have to call in when repairs are made and we will provide them with electric service at that time.

The total number of SLEMCO customers without power at this time is 2,361.
