| Fortune Road at Chemin Metairie Tony Tramel, Director of the Traffic and Transportation Department, announced today a traffic engineering study of the intersection of Fortune Road at Chemin Metairie has been completed. Based upon this analysis, the subject intersection has met the requirements contained in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for a multi-way stop condition. Therefore, the traffic control at this location will be converted to an all-way/4-way stop condition on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Supplementary advisory signs will be installed on each of the approaches to this intersection in advance of the all-way stop conversion. Wednesday, August 11, 2010  |

| LA Hwy 92 at Bonin Road Beginning Wednesday, August 4, 2010, La Hwy 92 will be closed to through traffic at its intersection with Bonin Road in the City of Youngsville. The closure is necessary for the construction of a roundabout intersection and is expected to last for 25 days – weather permitting. Detour signing is provided to assist the public travelling this route. The detour consists of the following routes: La 339 (Verot School Road), La 734, La 89 (Youngsville Highway), and La 3073 (Ambassador Caffery). DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

| Dean Street 300' north of St. Landry Street Tony Tramel, Director of the Traffic and Transportation Department, announced today that the closure of Dean Street 300' north of St. Landry Street has been rescheduled for Monday, August 9 until Wednesday, August 11, 2010. The closures are scheduled from 8AM to 5PM each day. The contractor will be performing sewer infrastructure repairs. Detour routes will be made available. Wednesday, August 11, 2010  |

| W. University Avenue at Lee Avenue Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) announced today that necessary upgrades to a wastewater line will force the closure of two lanes on W. University Avenue at Lee Avenue in Lafayette, starting Saturday, August 14, 2010. The work is expected to last about 7 days, during which time traffic at the intersection will be merged into one lane in each direction, and left turns will not be allowed in the construction area.
