Due to the heavy rainfall there has been wide spread flooding and street closures in New Iberia and Iberia Parish. The Fire Departments are responding to request from residents who are wanting to leave due to the flooding. The fog is adding to the danger of persons traveling in areas with standing water. We ask driver’s to use extreme caution or avoid areas with standing water if possible. Anyone needing assistance can call the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 369-3711 or 911.
