Tony Tramel, Director of the Traffic and Transportation Department, announced today a traffic engineering study of the intersection of Fortune Road at Chemin Metairie has been completed. Based upon this analysis, the subject intersection has met the requirements contained in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for a multi-way stop condition. Therefore, the traffic control at this location will be converted to an all-way/4-way stop condition on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Supplementary advisory signs will be installed on each of the approaches to this intersection in advance of the all-way stop conversion.
